During what many are calling the Great Resignation, legal department recruiters have had to step up and get creative with hiring efforts as well as retention. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the number of “quits,” or voluntary separations, increased in November 2021 to a series high 4.5 million. The quits rate increased to 3%, matching the series high in September 2021, according to the BLS, which also found that the number of quits increased in the Northeast, South and Midwest.
